resources in North America.
Unlike any other university campus, Southern鈥檚 鈥渙utdoor classroom鈥� has more than 30
miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, a 50'-by-200' natural rock climbing
wall, multiple caves, one of the best training ropes courses in the Southeast, and
other natural resources.
Within an hour of Southern鈥檚 campus, you鈥檒l find world-class rock climbing areas; the highest concentration of caves in North America, including the deepest cave in the U.S.; a variety of rivers to canoe, kayak, and raft, including the Ocoee, which hosted the 1996 Olympics; the Great Smoky Mountains and millions of acres of protected wilderness for camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. If it happens in the outdoors, it happens here!
